2016 - 2017 Model United Nations
High school students who staffed and help operate the event were: Brianna McGuire, Brody Moles, Gavin Davis, Keri Johnson, Clarissa Coldren, and Chad Bostic. All officers did a wonderful job and made our district proud. France: Outstanding Cultural Presentation- Edgar Nolan and Nathan Young of River Valley Middle School Turkey: Outstanding Cultural Technology Reid Haynes, Sydney Gilbert and Addy Burke all of River Valley Middle School Japan: Outstanding Nation-Ruth Rickett, Lillian Hawks, Hannah Chapman and Lexi Sutphin all from River Valley Middle School.  Gallia County recently attended the Southeastern Ohio Model Nation at  OU on 12/16/17.  We had 16 countries represented with 67 middle school students attending the event. The participants are TAG students. The students choose a country to represent. The students find a problem their country is having and write a resolution to present to the council to resolve the problem, debate with council to get it passed and present a cultural project on their country.
