As winter approaches parents are reminded of the emergency school closing procedures of Gallia County Local Schools.

Parents should not expect students to call them to let them know that schools will be dismissing early.  Circumstances may present themselves that make it impossible for one-on-one notification of an early dismissal. Parents should make arrangements with students in advance of anticipated bad weather.  Students should know with whom they will be staying should school be dismissed early.

Parents and students are urged to NOT call the school regarding potential closings or delays.  Instead we ask that you use on of the following media outlets to get information.  We will notify the following media about ALL potential closings or delays:  WSAZ-TV Channel 3, WOWK-TV Channel 13, Sunny 93.1 Radio---Gallipolis, WMPO  92.1 Radio---Pomeroy,  WKOV 96.7 Radio---Jackson,  and WDGG 93.7 Radio---Huntington.
