As I look back on my own middle school experiences, I can honestly say that some of the lessons I remember best had little to do with the curriculum and more to do with life and the personal and social connections I made with peers and teachers. While I did learn much about the disciplines my instructors covered, I much more appreciated the bonds that I formed with them as we shared pieces of that stage of my life together.
With these memories in mind, it is my intention to not only offer my students a strong and well-rounded education in the English Language Arts, but to also pour into their lives as a mentor, a supporter, and a provider of guidance. Additionally, I do not wish to strike out on this task alone, but wish to continue to develop my professional relationships with my colleagues as well as forming new and strong correspondance with any parents who are willing and interested in allying with me as we attempt to provide environments for our county's children to grow as learners and people.
Best wishes and GO RAIDERS!
