Exciting News! The Gallia County Local school-based clinic is scheduled to open on December 8, 2025! It is located at South Gallia Middle/High School, but please remember that any Gallia County Local student or staff member can access the clinic (if not in person, at least through tele-health).
For a student to be eligible, he or she must have a permission slip on file. If you have not already completed a permission slip for your child, please access it by scanning the QR code, in this post, and get it completed and returned to your child's school ASAP.
For students and staff, the school-based clinic will be able to help with acute illnesses (sore throats, rashes, etc.), during the school day, so that a trip to the hospital might be able to be avoided. This is also a way to expedite those appointments so that less school is missed. Additionally, the clinic is open to the public for many types of medical care.
*Prior to a child being seen at the school-based clinic, the parent/guardian will be contacted, by school staff, to ensure that all agree that an appointment with the school-based nurse practitioner is the best course of action.
